GriGris is a French-Chadian movie from director Mahamat Saleh Harouh (winner of the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival for A Screaming Man).
French movie with English subtitles.
GriGris is about a 25-year-old man with a paralyzed leg who dreams of becoming a dancer, and who starts to work for a gang of petrol smugglers in order to make ends meet.
The film addresses sensitive and difficult subjects with incredible clarity and honesty, and it captures remarkable images of Chad, a francophone country in Africa, including its people, atmosphere, music, and landscape.
