BUEI Talks: Ocean Vet – 5th Episode: The Bermuda Turtle Project

Caring for turtles is top priority

Watch as Neil and the Ocean Vet team work alongside the longest standing turtle research project in the world, the Bermuda Turtle Project.
Follow the team as they capture and release wild green sea turtles after fitting a satellite tag to a mature specimen that will collect vital data on its oceanic migrations.
Neil also works with Bermuda’s turtle stranding network, assisting with the diagnoses, treatment and re-release of an injured green sea turtle washed up on one of Bermuda’s many beautiful beaches.

5:00-6:30pm: Sushi Happy Hour at Harbourfront (specially priced drinks and sushi)
6pm: Harbourfront opens for dinner
5:30pm: Lecture starts, BUEI Auditorium

Members: $20; Non-members: $25: Students: $10. Tickets available by calling 294-0204 or visiting BUEI’s Oceans Gift Shop.
