BUEI Talks: Syrian & Iraqi Refugees by Tara Sutton

Join us for an evening of stories from the frontline of the world’s worst refugee crisis. Award-winning, international film maker and journalist Tara Sutton will take us beyond the headlines by sharing her experiences working with Syrian and Iraqi refugees in Amman, Jordan as part of the Collateral Repair Project. The Collateral Repair Project is a grass roots charity based in Amman, Jordan that helps those fleeing war in neighbouring countries to rebuild their lives. Tara will also screen two films she made in August, intimate portraits of families who allowed her inside their lives last summer.
5:00-6:30pm: Sushi Happy Hour at Harbourfront (specially priced drinks and sushi)
6pm: Harbourfront opens for dinner
7:30pm: Lecture starts, BUEI Auditorium
