BUEI is pleased to present on World Oceans Day a free screening of the award-winning documentary Vanishing Sail. This event is thanks to a joint partnership with the Department of Community & Cultural Affairs,
Filmed in Carriacou in the southern Grenadines, where the last Caribbean boatbuilders maintain a tenuous grip on their traditional skills. In St. Barth’s where the smuggling trade in liquor & cigarettes thrived until the 1970s. And Antigua where the Carriacou vessels race each year among vintage yachts in the Classic Regatta.
Mixed with rare archive film & interviews with the last old Caribbean sea captains – the movie combines dramatic sailing footage with narration and an original soundtrack to tell the story of the Vanishing Sail of the West Indies.
5pm-6:30pm: Happy Hour Sushi at Harbourfront (please allow sufficient time for sushi preparation)
6pm: Film starts/Harbourfront opens for dinner
This is a FREE event with limited seating available. Tickets are available by calling 294-0204 or email .

Ticket holders are entitled to 10% off dinner at the Harbourfront (food only) before or after the film. Please call 295-4207 for reservations. Cannot be combined with any other special offers.
